DS 2 Model 1860 Cavalry Saber found at Port Hudson by Billy
Spedale in the late 1960’s. The wooden grip is missing
but the metal is in very good condition.

DS 3 This is a curious piece it is a model 1860 Cavalry Saber
with a broken blade that is 17 3/4 inches long and is in a scabbard
that is 29 1/2 inches long. Found at Port Hudson in the early
1970’s the scabbard does not appear to match the sword
but who knows how this piece came to be?

DS 7 Model 1840 Cavalry Saber. Hand guard broken, knuckle guard
missing and blade is broken. Blade is 20 1/2 inches long and
has a heavy coat of varnish to preserve the metal.

DS 11 This is an unknow blade that is heavily pitted. It matches
up pretty close to a Model 1840 N.C.O. or Musician’s sword
blade but is so rusted it is hard to tell. Blade has the tip
broken off and it is 25 1/2 inches long.
